The Steering Group is the decision-making body of the project. The Steering Group is the only formal body empowered to take Consortium and Grant Agreement decisions and is bound to act in accordance with these agreements. It is composed of representatives of each consortium partner.
The project team is the implementing body of TRAFIG. The project team is responsible for the timely implementation of the project activities, for updating the project management team and Steering Group on progress in their work packages. It further offers scientific guidance, review and feedback on all deliverables. It is comprised of the seven work package leaders.
The Advisory Board is the consultative body of the project. It provides external oversight (e.g.on research, methods, deliverables, dissemination and exploitation of results). One member of the Advisory Board acts as Ethics Advisor to the project. He advises on the development of ethical guidelines and serves as an expert on ethical questions and challenges that may arise throughout the research.
The project management team is the operational body of the project. It serves as the liaison between consortium partners and the EC, monitors and controls the work plan and its implementation, handles operational as well as financial matters. The project management team consist of the scientific leader of TRAFIG, of the project manager and the financial manager, all located at BICC.
An innovation management team consisting of representatives of BICC and ICMPD has also been established to support the development of procedures to turn innovative approaches, which have been identified for the project, into tasks as part of the overall management of the Plan for Dissemination and Exploitation of Results (PDER).
